What's happening Friday?

Friday will kick off with the Benefits Expo! at 8 a.m. and then General Session at 10 a.m. with several very special guest speakers. Like Thursday, there will also be workshops in the afternoon. The rescheduled Telework Workshop will take place during that time.

General Session will be called to order at 10 a.m. We are excited to be joined by friend of labor and working people and U.S. Senate candidate, U.S. Congressman Tim Ryan. AFSCME International President Lee Saunders and AFSCME International Secretary-Treasurer Elissa McBride will also address delegates about the power of public employees and their unions.

Registration is open for the Friday afternoon virtual workshops. All sessions begin at 3 p.m. Any delegate, alternate and guest can attend. This is a great opportunity for participants to talk, network and collaborate with other participants as all workshops are presented in typical Zoom meeting format. Friday's workshops on New Employee Orientations, the new state contract, and mediations and arbitrations will start at 3 p.m. The rescheduled Telework Workshop will also take place at that time.
