Peggy Seely

Peggy Seely has lived mostly in Austin since age 2. She has a master's degree in social work from UT Austin. She worked for late US Senator Ralph Yarborough in Washington, DC and in his state office in Austin. She worked at agencies which are all now under the Health and Human Services Commission. She served in various capacities including contract manager, program specialist, staff liaison to the Long Term Care Coordinating Council for the Elderly, and assistant director for program planning and coordination at the Texas Department on Aging. Following retirement from the state, she worked as a legal assistant at the Austin law firm of Graves, Dougherty, Hearon & Moody, 1997-2008. Peggy is a founding board member of this chapter.
