Ohio's important election dates:
May 2026 Spring Primary Election:
- Request an absentee ballot: NOW THROUGH APRIL 28
- Early in-person voting at county early vote location: NOW THROUGH MAY 3 Get schedule with dates and times
- Last day to request an absentee ballot application: APRIL 28 by 8:30 P.M.
- Absentee Voting by Mail: NOW THROUGH MAY 5 (Absentee ballots must be received by your board of elections by 7:30 P.M. on May 5).
- Primary Election Day (at polling place only): MAY 5, 6:30 A.M.-7:30 P.M.
November 2026 General Election:
- Deadline to Register to Vote: OCTOBER 5
- Early In-Person Voting: OCTOBER 6-NOVEMBER 1 Get schedule with dates & times
- Last day to request an absentee ballot application: OCTOBER 27 by 8:30 P.M.
- Absentee Voting by Mail begins: OCTOBER 6-NOVEMBER 3 Absentee ballots must be received by your board of elections by 7:30 P.M. on November 3.
