political action committee (PAC) is an organization that pools contributions from members and donates these funds to campaign for or against candidates, ballot initiatives, or legislation. A PAC may also contribute to a campaign by providing volunteers for canvassing, phone banking, GOTV, etc. Local 420 PAC meetings monthly (except July and August) on the first Monday. Our PAC is made up of the Officers and Vice Chapter Chairs. However, attendance is open to all members of the local.

As a local, our PAC has played a significant role in the elections of both US Senators from NY; the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens US Congressional Represenatives; many of the NYS senators and assembly representative form the 5 boroughs; the Mayor, Speaker and more than half of the current NYC Council members; the current NYC Public Advocate; and many borough AGs and district leaders. Our success in getting candidates elected to office has resulted in corresponding successs in getting legistilation and other intiatives passed at the city and state levels.

So join us each First Monday and let us together shape the future of healthcare and our communities.
