2024 Primary Endorsements

In April, the AFSCME Advisory Board held meetings with local candidates seeking Local 4041’s endorsements. AFSCME members endorse candidates who support public workers and our priorities to improve public services, regardless of political affiliation. AFSCME International endorses federal candidates based on these same priorities.

We are excited to release endorsements for state legislative races ahead of Nevada’s primary elections on June 11, 2024.

AFSCME Local 4041’s endorsements include many incumbents who have proven themselves to be champions for critical labor and worker issues. Endorsed State Senate incumbents with sterling labor credentials include Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro in SD 6, Sen. Rochelle Nguyen in SD 3, and Sen. Dallas Harris in SD 11. In the State Assembly, incumbent labor champions earning endorsements include Speaker Steve Yeager in AD 9, Assembly Ways and Means Chair Daniele Monroe-Moreno in AD 1, and Majority Leader Sandra Jauregui in AD 41.

We look forward to electing these pro-worker legislators who support public services, and the Nevadan workers who provide them.
