"The Marciano’s created an unhealthy work environment and instead of letting their employees unionize, they closed their foundation. Yet we still live in LA, we work in LA & we are a part of the LA art community. The Marcianos should not be able to influence policy in any art institutions when they devalued their workers, received large tax write off, denied providing a living wage,& negativity impact the LA cultural landscape. The closing of the foundation denies the accessibility of art to millions of Angelinos. Museums are an education and cultural resource and in the Marcianos closing for farcical reasons show that they do not believe in social equity in the arts. Instead of trying to stifle our voice they should  recognize the MAF union and honor their responsibilities as a cultural institution and re open."
